(see here!) But since my modest collection has grown...a lot. I've acquired quite a few new ones and I've been wearing them too. In the last post showing my brooches I expressed how I didn't wear them as much as I'd like because in high school I had a bad habit of losing them. But I've since overcome that silly little fear and I rarely go anywhere without a brooch... or two. Here are most of them laid out. I say most because I'm sure there are a few in my closet pinned on sweaters and winter coats. Finding brooches on things I haven't worn in a while is almost as fun as finding money in my pockets. And here are some close ups. If you have any questions about where any one of them is from just let me know. It'd be kind of hard to just make a list but I'll try and name a few I think will be asked about near the bottom of the post. My selection of enamel ones really hasn't grown that much. I'm still cheap as heck when it comes to these. I only buy them if they're less than a few bucks and that's so rare to find, even at my favorite thrift stores. And finally, my favorites. It's kind of hard to choose favorites when I love everything in my collection but these ones just seem to stand out. My dad cut and burned the little raccoon for me, it's actually one I don't wear often because I'm too nervous about losing it. Do you have a collection of brooches? I'd love to see photos if you do. xoxo Some credits: fox with green bow tie - Santa Cara paper crane - Under The Shade Of A Bonsai Tree gold owl glasses holder - City Song Vintage cicada - made from supplies from this shop cuckoo clock - Under The Shade Of A Bonsai Tree bear in hat - One Little Red Fox mouse with long tail - Modcloth acorn - Sugar Cookie butterflies - made from supplies from this shop A lot of the others were thrifted but if you're curious about any of them - just ask! :) via The Dainty Squid http://daintysquid.blogspot.com/2012/11/the-collector-part-10-brooches-revisited.html taghandcraftnews | |||
