Earlier in the year I discovered a love for searching for beach glass. (I blogged about it here, how pretty is my hair in that picture?! oh my!!) I've gathered a nice little collection in the last few months, or at least I think so. It doesn't look like much but it's taken many trips to build up and I've made lots of nice memories and had lots of fun searching for the pieces.
I really have no luck as someone who just walks along the beach finding it. I see lots people just walking the beach and finding huge pieces while I'm sitting in the sand squinting for tiny pieces. I have no idea how they manage to find all the huge pieces but really I've become quiet fond of the tiny ones I normally find.

I find a nice spot with lots of small rocks and start to dig, not too deep, really just taking off the first layer searching. It's so relaxing to sit in the warm sand (well not so warm right now...) and just look for tiny treasures. I'll take them as tiny as I can find them, some so small they're hard to pick up. It doesn't matter to me, they add up over time.
As you can see, clear is my most common find. I've filled up one full jar and I'm well on my way to filling up the second. Blue is the hardest to come by at my beach, so it's always a real treat when I find one, especially the dark blues ones.

Some day I might like to do something with my collection, make jewelry or find some awesome way to display them, but for now I think they look really neat organized by color in little jars on my shelf.
Do any of you collect beach glass? I'd love to see photos of your collection!
xoxo

ps. Yep, I totally see the tiny blue pieces in the clear jar. Sometimes they are SO hard to tell apart until you get them in the jar and even then, only when you look in the perfect lighting.
